    There was not an issue with any deliverable.

    My 'Mate' tells me this turned out to be a bit of a failed power grab coinciding with her becoming aware in advance of a change of hiring manager.

    All sorted now and harmony has resumed...........

    That's not very agile, now is it?

    You assign work to the "Team Leader" and request updates at the daily standup, for which you've appointed yourself as "Scrum Master" and which you hold on UK time at 9am thus requiring your US Team Leader to attend at some ungodly hour of the morning. When he/she misses the first stand-up, complain to the project manager/product owner that certain team members are being "obstructive".

    I don't know the situation but usually someone takes charge if there is a bit of floundering. She may have experience of leading a team before and is doing what comes naturally.

    If you are not happy don't post on a forum, just raise it with her. She may end up saying that she is frustrated by progress etc and in the end you could make a friend out of her.

    Don't let things fester be direct and honest.

    Comes under roles and responsibilities.
