I'm giving CVnow a go I will tell you how I get on. I spoke to a very bright lady that I trust implicitly she had used someone to do her CV and Linked in profile when she left permanent employment and now makes bundles doing non IT related bid consultancy. Her take on it was if you let a professional at your CV and it gets you through a door that you would not have been invited into then its a no brainer.

Also depends on your role - they struggled to understand Agile and most of my CV came out PM focused.
Still worth it in my opinion.

The outcomes that I'm aware of have always been generally positive - I guess it depends on who you use, what you are looking for, and how much information / help you provide them with when they write the profile for you.
When I'm next out of contract I will probably take another look at Matt Craven's services and see whether it's worth doing. I would be wary of saying an absolute no without looking carefully at what is being offered, though.

This has been asked a ton of times and a lot of discussion already on here.
Use the search method described in the FAQ. In a nutshell it will tell you to type 'CV writing site:forums.contractoruk.com' in Google.
Quick answer is no.
Try attending one of the seminars that are regularly advertised on here instead?
