    Yeah once. Was working on a nightmare project with a bloody good rate but the project was led by an absolute arsehole to work with. Id considered not taking the inevitable extension I knew was coming but during face to face talks with said person, agreed to extend.

    However the absolute arsehole made the work environment untenable so I had to give backword on the extension. The upshot was the absolute arsehole went to the agency to terminate immediately with just under 3 weeks of the contract left.

    I dont know what happened or how the agency worked this but they talked the arsehole out of it and I just left at the contract end.

    In the main, I think you may get a bit of grief even if it's a bit of the old cold shoulder between now and the end of your contract. I cant see many leads \ managers being too happy to have to go to market when they thought you were staying put but hey, that's how it rolls.
