    Status Bonus

    Evening all

I have had a new contract opportunity presented to me this week. After going through the small print I found the following:-

    Charge Rates:

The rates of your charge specified in an Assignment of which 5% is in respect of the Status Bonus £X per professional day

    Status Bonus

The amount we pay on the condition that (a) the Representative utilised in the provision of Services is carrying on the business undertaking of the Company and (b) the Hirer is the client or customer of the Company in relation to the Services

I have never come across this before so would like to understand more about it and whether anyone else has ever worked with this clause in a contract.

It's hard to determine at what point the agent decides whether I have met the conditions. More importantly, does it mean that until I have, my day rate is curtailed by 5%?!

Rather worrying, and I am trying to understand the need for this in the contract. Doesn't seem to provide me with any form of benefit/protection.

    What are they up to???

    Thanks

Working...
