If there is a real contract role and if they think you are a fit for it (i.e. a cash cow), they will be ready to sell their wives on Luton high street. Don't overestimate an agent's memory.

Agents don't read that far.
They search for your skills then find a number or email address and contact you.
I've learnt to just cut their calls short and delete their emails.

I'm getting a lot of agencies doing this. As soon as my CV went live on the job sites, despite my profile saying *Contract Only* I still get agencies calling about permie roles. It's very frustrating - especially when they leave voicemail messages saying they've got a role only for me to call them back and find the role is a perm role and nothing of interest - they were just trying their luck as usual.

Agents keep calling about permie roles
Most of roles in my specialisation are permies so I say to agents that I am considering contracts but I may accept a perm if there is a very good reason to do so. As a result agents just keep calling me about permie ones.
I wonder what if I will start saying that under no circumstances I will accept a permie role, will this make them doing an extra mile finding contract roles or they are just likely to stop calling regarding anything?Last edited by Ltd; 7 May 2015, 10:05.Tags: None
