    You obviously have the same notice periods as Permies if they are keeping you employed. If they do terminate you you can sue them for unfair dismissal. Now if you were a contractor that would be different.

    The law of contact is the only "rule" you have / need. Read the contract and see what it says about termination.

    I'm a ltd company who has been working for the same company for nearly 5 years.
    They keep me gainfully employed and I'm happy with my day rate.

    Under such circumstances are there any hard and fast rules on notice periods (from both sides)?
