Spoke to somebody else at Kainos today and their definition of "fixed term contract" is what we on this forum call contracting. Their term for what we call a FTC is "temporary".
So the upshot is, don't be put off if you see FTC on a Kainos ad.

Yes you would, if they offer you a good role at good rate with a good contract. Just because someone in the agency is incompetent and can make the difference between contract, FTC and perm doesn't mean everyone is.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostGood a reason as any not to touch them with a 10ft barge pole IMO....
Try someone further up the tree at Kainos?
As NLUK suggested try to get in touch with someone up the chain in Kainos

Never worked for them but am aware of them and only ever see proper contracts or permie roles never saw FTC before. They seem to pay well for both.Originally posted by Cenobite View PostKainos advertise their contracts as FTCs with excellent day rates: so which are they? If anyone's contracted with Kainos please could you say?
The recruitment girl there didn't seem to know what the difference was.
