This whole business is about creating some sense of entitlement into the old gammon’s heart.
It’s just a PR campaign. Sure people come in, but how many in comparison to other EU countries that have taken migrants. Not that many. if they work, fine, if they don’t and pose a risk you deport. Same system has been working very well with citizens of other countries. Simple.

The never ending reporters in boats screaming at migrants: “Where are you from?” it’s just farcical.

If people would illegally get into the country you would for sure deport them, not make it prime news.

Presumably, as it's an EU agreement, UK participation will end on 31st December. I'd be interested to know how many failed applicants are 'sent back to France' (or elsewhere in the EU). I'm guessing close to zero. If any are deported anywhere, it would be back to their country of origin, assuming the HO know what that country is, and it still exists, and it can be reasonably proven that the applicant doesn't actually face death or torture upon their return. No wonder human rights lawyers are licking their lips, this is going to be all their Christmases, and then some...

Regardless of how many have been sent back to France, do think the French with bother stopping them coming to the UK after the end of the year? The French will close the camps and open the gates to the UK. A well deserved present for the Brexsh**ers.
