And not really sure thing insurance for a day trip would be needed - and anyone staying longer will just take the usual insurance like they do now.
And finally - tourism from the Uk contributes to most of the EU countries economies - especially PIGS - so they EU would be mad to make it difficult for people to travel to the EU to spend money.
Also France is not doing as well as they would like right now.
