M&S have the euro prices in their labels the same way Zara (and most of global clothes brands) always had every currency they do business in, so the same label works for every country....

Which works for Zara in Spain where people can’t shop around.

A shop can accept any currency they like. Quite a few shops in and around Oxford St accept Euros (M&S used to have Euro prices on their labels, not sure if they still do) and if you're ever in Brixton they have their own local currency, the The Brixton Pound - Money that sticks to Brixton - BGBP.

M&S have the euro prices in their labels the same way Zara (and most of global clothes brands) always had every currency they do business in, so the same label works for every country....

I think you'll find the change was planned for years before the ref, and has more to do with making the coins much harder to counterfeit. The Euro coin was ahead of the game in that respect, and the BoE borrowed some of their ideas.

I think you'll find the change was planned for years before the ref, and has more to do with making the coins much harder to counterfeit. The Euro coin was ahead of the game in that respect, and the BoE borrowed some of their ideas.

You can walk around Edinburgh Royal mile, there's a number of shops accepting Euro. Don't know if it's legal for them to do so, but they do.
