Exporters upbeat on growth despite trade war, economic wobbles and Brexit

Britain’s exporters are ignoring political uncertainty and anticipate steady growth next year on the back of economic growth and the weak pound.

Despite concerns over the failure to yet reach a deal with the EU, British businesses do not appear to be panicking over Brexit.
Unlike quite a few in THIS sub-forum who appear to be prone to panicking at virtually anything.
Twas ever thus, the risk-takers are those that drive the future destinies whilst the skittish ones generally end up somewhere back in the baggage train.
    You know who you are.

You only have to look at UK growth since the referendum to see what the future holds.
Assuming a BRINO , it's going to be 1.x% rather than the UK post-war average of 2.x%.
And that's the real outcome of Brexit, not chaos or destuction, as some are predicting, but rather a slow release of air out of the balloon that is the UK economy.
You won't even notice it at first, 5-10 years down the line, you'll see how shabby the country will have become.

Economic forecasts eh? Renowned for their accuracy.

Still waiting for that recession that was predicted.

    From the article quoted:

"Given the ongoing negotiation over the terms of
the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, projections for
2019 continue to be based on a purely technical
assumption of status quo in terms of trading
relations between the EU27 and the UK."

So if we remain in the EU our growth is predicted to fall. Based on this evidence we have absolutely nothing to fear from leaving the EU.

So at this rate the UK will fall out of the G7 within the next 10 years.
