When historians look back at this time, they'll be like - Britain WTF?

My advice would be to find a niche like "Rubber Ducks" that doesn't require complex supply chains.

What do you mean EU change the rules, this is all WTO, it's up to the UK to get them changed. Having beaten up on the EU all these years and gloating how little the UK needs the EU it's a bit rich to start grovelling to the EU to sort out the mess.Originally posted by original PM View PostSo it's a trade war - which if you read the other thread on the same subject will actually have a negative impact on both the EU and the UK.
Unless they just change the fookin rules they make up to stop the negative impact.
But then seeing as regardless of what happens Junkcer will still be feeding from the trough why would have try and do anything which helps anyone when he could try and stand there with a stupid smug grin on his face trying to imply this is all everyone else fault?

Brexiters knew that Rules of Origin in FTA’s would impact supply chains, didn’t they?

Indeed the UK will fall between the cracks of the 2 great world economic powers. The timing of Brexit couldn't have been worse, not that it was a good idea at any time given the relative weakness of the UK economy which exports even less than Italy. But you Brexiters are an ignorant lot. Was it you who was surprised that little Spain builds more cars than the UK?Originally posted by The_Equalizer View PostDid someone mention something about a protectionist group?
You lot deserve what's coming - at best with a soft Brexit, Italian growth rates of less than 1.5% for the forseeable future. At worst, all bets are off.

Negative impact will be relatively much bigger for the UK, as the rest of the EU is a much bigger market with loads of trade deals all over the world which the UK won't haveOriginally posted by original PM View PostSo it's a trade war - which if you read the other thread on the same subject will actually have a negative impact on both the EU and the UK.
