The second link starts with the phrase "we estimate" ergo "we can't prove it but it looks good". The phrase "Mortality rates went up for most age groups" is unsubstantiated, as nobody under 80 gets a look in.Originally posted by sasguru View Post

Thanks for proving beyond all doubt what a complete moron you are.
Your homework is to work out your mistake, but I doubt you can.
Here's a hint, from my second link - i know it'll be hard for you but do try and parse it:
"Mortality rates went up for most age groups, but were particularly concentrated among the elderly. Mortality rates rose by 11.8% and 18.2% for males and females respectively aged 90 and above, 9.2% and 11.2% respectively for people aged 85-89, and 5.7% and 9.3% respectively for people aged 80-84. These rises in old-age mortality occurred everywhere: in richer and poorer areas, in urban and rural districts, and in the north and south."
They key is in the fact that a rate is not an absolute value.
It's astonishing how very stupid people on this forum are. Especially Brexiters.
And if a rate is not an absolute value, you should learn to negotiate better.
Over to you, Professor...

It depends. If you threw the mates on the ground, used, outside my house, I would be a tad put-out.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostSo if I cycled by your house with some "mates" you would do the same to me?
...in much the same way with Brillo and his gel packs.

Hang on, you're moving on from the events to the potential causes. You have to first admit what an ignorant cockwomble you are with regard to mortality rates. Then we can move on.Originally posted by original PM View PostAnd you put this down to a reduction in the standards of healthcare provided by the NHS.
So do you think that standard would be affected positively or negatively by an increase (or a decrease) in people looking to use the NHS?
