    It sounds like you and your friend seriously need to talk to an accountant. If your friend is operating as a sole trader he can deduct genuine business costs anyway.

    Question: Who use their ltd business to buy & sell on eBay / Amazon as a side business?
    The reason i'm asking is I have a friend who sells RAM on Amazon Market. But he's not Ltd and Amazon handle his Tax / Vat buy taking a bite out of his profits.
    But if It went through my company could you claim back postage as an expense ?
    I'd imagine as long as the stuff you bought was on the company credit card and related to your business (e.g) RAM computer parts ect. And then resold ether back on eBay or Amazon market place. it would be ok?
