If he did we can assume he opted in. If he had opted out she would have been ok

No. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that he never loved you either. None of ourclients ever truly love us contractors and to be completely honest, most of the contractors are only in it for the money, not love too.

I know you are probably feeling quite shocked and hurt by all this but you have to smile and wave and move on to the next client. To get your revenge, make sure you charge the next client more money so whenever you feel dirty or used you can just think of the money.

    Works for me anyway...

Are you a contractor in the sense of having a day rate, and invoicing for your time, or are you on a 'fixed term contract' - i.e. on the company's payroll?

If the latter, you may have some employment rights in terms of being paid for accrued holiday etc.

If the former (which is what NLUK is assuming) then no.

You may have yes but if you've been working outside IR35 I am not sure that you wouldn't ultimately lose, from a financial perspective, if you were to take your client to an employment tribunal which would be the proper avenue for redress.

No / No / No / Depends on the contract.

Assuming you're not a troll, just move on.

But what to do? If this is a large / medium organisation it may be worth going to HR. The guy probably has form.

If the guy owns the company, walk away unless you fancy losing a prolonged harrassment or discriminatoon case

If he's married, tell his wife.

It is no wonder HMRC are crawling all over us with idiots like this working in our sector/business model.

Awful troll or moron. Not sure which.

Have a read of this and go research the case further if you are interested.

    Contractor chases 'unfair dismissal' claim

Also check with your accountant that you have been paying yourself the way you should for an inside IR35 contractor.
