    Is that the only reason to do it? Wouldn't that be bordering on evasion or danger of the trust being regarded as a sham and having all benefits negated?

    If someone does have any experience could they comment on whether Autralia is different to other countries.

    Australian Properties held in UK / Offshore Trust

    Does anyone have direct, personal experience of transferring overseas properties out of personal name into a UK (family) trust?

    There would be the advantage of not having to file tax returns in multiple jurisdictions and inheritance / succession planning reasons.
