    What does your contract say?

If your contract states daily, then put daily, if for some reason the customer wants a break down of hours put that on there AS WELL

    EDIT:

On second thouhts, why are you invoicing the client and not the agency? The only contact with the client should be time sheets, which yes would normally be in hours

Yep thats right, forget what the client wants and just bill whenever you fancy. Great move that.

Don't ignore how they want the invoice pretended, as it will just cause delays in receiving payment. Always give the client the invoice exactly how they want it! Otherwise you are giving them a ready made excuse to delay your payment (and make enemies in client co accounts dept).

Similarly don't rely on the agent to deal with it, as most agents are extremely unlikely to dirty themselves with actual work

You've heard the expression 'the customer is always right'.....? Why do you think that it is a problem?

started a topic Invoice using clients accounting periods?

    Invoice using clients accounting periods?

I've just done my invoice for my first month at new client co, and begrudgingly used the month dates that client co uses for the invoice as requested by the agency. I have on every previous contract invoiced per calendar month (i.e 1st to 28-31st). I've just gone to submit the timesheet and invoice and have now realised they want me to submit my invoice in hours instead of days.

Is this taking the P, and should I just ignore it and let the agency deal with it? Does anyone else change their invoicing periods and day/hour rates to suit the client?

Working...
