Your going to have to give us a lot more to go on if you want any kind of useful opinion on this. One small aspect could make a whole world of difference. Is the other director your ex wife or a couple of guys running a profitable business. When did you resign as a director and why didn't you deal with this before you resigned?
These mitigating factors make all the difference to the advice, well, either that or a very interesting read.
Did you write to them once or have you sent something by registered post to prove they actually got it? Getting 10K out of a company you left in it isn't going to be easy even if everyone is happy. Just a letter isn't going to cut it is it?

What were the loan terms regarding repayment? These still stand.
If there were no terms then you have to try and agree them, or demand repayment and then issue your claim through the courts. Once you have proved the debt you can start winding up proceedings if necessary to try and enforce judgement.

Claiming back directors loan
Hi all
I was a director of a company. due to various disputes, I resigned as a director, but am still a 20% share holder. some years ago the company wanted to buy a property and I loaned the company 10,000 into a directors loan account.
As I have left the company and resigned as a director, can I now claim my 10,000 back? Do I have any rights in this situation.
I have written to the company asking for my money, but have had no response.Tags: None
