Yes, any drawbacks to having nominee shareholders/directors? I understand that they sign an undated share transfer form and give it to you for future use.
I think its useful if you are the shy, retiring type and dont want to be on public record as a director.

1. You don't need an agent. DIY through the Companies House website is simple
2. Talk to one of the bigger accountancy practices - Nixon Williams, SJD, whatever - who will set you up in no time flat for free
3. Look up PCG One Stop. Everything you need (right down to stationery) in one place.

Ltd Formation – Which Agent For Bona Fide Clean Formation?
Hello
After a couple of years contracting through an umbrella I’m now ready to go the limited route. I only want to use an agent which will form the limited company clean..
Dirty Formation: The company is formed with nominee shareholder(s) as founding directors (who are typically directors/employees of the agent) who then transfer shares to the customer then resign.
Clean Formation: The company is formed with the customer as the bona fide founding director. No nominees, directors or employee of the agent are ever associated with the new company in any respect or appear in any company history or registers.
It seems that the only agents who can offer truly clean formations are those listed on the Companies House web site ‘electronic incorporation approved’ page - Formation Agents List
Any recommendations? Suggestions?
