Hiya Jacko
Hows tricks ?
I've pretty much given up IT at the momemnt, been doing full time child care instead - Not sure how she talked me into that!
Looking around I just can't muster the enthusiasm for IT again. Ho Hum.

Thanks - I've already looked through these at length but I'm looking for first-hand experience here. E.g. "Yes - I contract in country X using scheme Y and it's very straightforward and totally legal/above board"
For example, most people I know contracting in the UK now go via Parasol IT's umbrella scheme rather than their ltd company. It may cost more but it's a lot less hassle. Also appropriate if it's just something you may do for 12 months to 'test the water'.
The following coutries are of interest and I'm looking for a hassle-free solution where possible.
France
Netherlands
Belgium
thanks (hopefully) in advance

Another contracting abroad thread...
Ok. I haven't been IT contracting before so I don't have a Ltd. company.
I'm looking at contract work in mainland Europe (I know getting a UK contract would be more straightforward but I want the chance to work abroad for a short while) and I want to know which countries are the most straightforward to do this in. I wan't to do everything totally by the book - no dodgy schemes that rely on a dubious interpretation of tax law etc.
If you have experience can you post with where you worked and how you operated there please. Looking for some helpful advice.
Thanks in advance.Tags: None
