Each employee can have one through the company. There has been a debate about whether the company secretary is an employee (and the same for a director) - as long as they are employees, they should be fine.

MrsF is an employee but her mobile bill is so low each month that it's not worth putting it through the company. Highest bill this year was about £4 with no line rental.

So I've decided to get me and Mrs C (Company Secretary) an iPhone each and charge it as a business expense to my limited.

Can anyone doing a similar thing recommend (or un-recoemmend) a particular provider? Happy to lock into a contract if this works out cheaper ...

    TIA

I just recently looked at this. Vodafone 18month contract, paying a bit for the phone for both 16g and 32g 3GS costs the same as buying the phone with no contract, so you get 18 months of usage bundled and your payments over 18 months, so cheaper than pay as you go.

I went for the HD2 instead anyway - I'm still to be convinced by the iPhone, over htc's offerings.

Of course it means you have to keep the same old iPhone, but worth it until 4g comes out at least.
Oooh... I shall be doing that tomorrow morning, as I'm out of contract tie-in period and waiting for a new iPhone to eventually arrive.

    Thanks

Im paying £15 a month for unlimited text, unlimited internet and 300 mins a month and a better phone for £91 outright purchase. (Htc Hero) You can change the unlimited text to unlimited landland calls if you want.

Its with T mobile, which I was a bit unsure about, but its actually been strong signal everywhere Ive been.

The business tarrifs seemed crap, cant see the point of paying almost double to save a bit of corp tax.

Yes indeed it's basically the same as the £31 (£35?) contract you have but with loads more texts. So all data is included.

I was going to go for 3GS too but will hold out for 4G , hope it's released soon!
