It has been suggested that if you intend to make your partner a shareholder and split dividends with him/her, making them a director is a possible useful defence against a 660 attack from HMRC.

New Ltd Co - Director or Secretary?
Hi - having started my first contract today I am in the process of setting up a limited company. The company is formed, now I need to assign the director(s) and secretary.
Just wondered if anyone knew the ramifications of this, as I can either a) make just myself a Director and my partner the Company Secretary, or b) make both my partner and I Directors, and me also the Company Secretary. Are there any implications of either approach?
