It can be done but it's not a good idea.
As has been said - if you pay for it yourself any training must be related to your current role/work.
Your company can pay for a future role, but even that needs to be quite close to what you're doing now.

training costs should normally be retrievable under "expenses" in the training & professional subscriptions category, not too sure about travel though.

Quickie: Training expenses
I don't have a business credit card and tend to personally pay for my expenses and reclaim them.
Can I take this approach with training expenses as well?
Also, can I expense travel costs to/from to the course?
Need to sign up to a course in the next hour which is running next week so would appreciate a quick response from anyone who knows.Tags: None
