Mind you, that suggests we should be putting a brass plaque at ClientCo's premises.
I don't think it needs to be a brass plaque - I'm not sure about what is really needed but displaying a business card at the ClientCo's premises might suffice

WHS. I was wrong: Companies House link.

Where must I disclose my company’s name?
Every company (except dormant companies) must display its registered name at its registered office and inspection place. The company’s name is also required at any place at which it carries on business. But if that place is primarily used for living accommodation (like for example the director’s address) the company will be exempt.
Mind you, that suggests we should be putting a brass plaque at ClientCo's premises.

You must also put up No Smoking signs on all the doors too. Yes, really.

    Nobody does that either.

    Don't worry about it.

I have my accountant's address as my registered address. Some will charge you a fee for this, mine (Quay) offer it for free. I believe they actually have all the little plaques mounted somewhere in their office, that's a guess though.

    Registered office at home

I'm looking at setting up my own limited company (contract/freelance IT) with the registered office at my home address.

It's stated as a legal requirement to show the name of the company outside the premises, but do I really need one of those brass plaques on the front of my house?

    Thanks...
