Special thanks go to the user "bollox" for this one.
Request a document entitled "View Compliance Summary", reference number 'CMP001B'.
Also request the 'View Compliance History' which has a ref of 'CMP006B' . This has dates for opening and closing of each enquiry, its also has the case owner.

Mine's In...
Hello Everyone,
Just submitted mine...
Be interested in what they send as my 2002/2003 tax return DID NOT have an enquiry made against it, and they sent the 2003/2004 enquiry to the wrong address. I'm hoping that there will be a letter from Bernard (MontP) in my pack telling them they can stick the enquiry for this year.

23 DPA requests, not bad!
But I feel no shame in bumping this post back up to the top of the list for a while

Any lurkers made DPA requests?
If you have made a DPA request but can't vote in the Poll, do you want to drop me a line at bn66_letter@hotmail.co.uk.
I will then report back on how many requests have been submitted.
Thanks
DR

I guess HMRC must be counting on the apathy of the majority of contractors
I couldnt have made it easier for the "armchair activist", with a weblink and form (in the first post) that takes 2 minutes to complete!

Well done everyone so far.
P.S. Added a very important point to the first post:
The DPA request provides a record of your file at this current moment in time, so the Revenue cannot add anything that has been backdated and claim it was always there. If I had thought of this before, I would have done it a lot earlier. Then I wouldnt have received a "backdated" enquiry letter into a closed tax return.
