Now I received a letter telling me the replacement loan was "denominated in Zimbabwe Dollars". I have an option to repay the loan at a cost of £5.

Has anyone else received such a letter?

Not sure what action to take (if any).
I thought this was stopped a couple of years ago? There was a thread a while ago about this...haven't got time at the mo to find it.

That's the point. BY claiming this and allowing scheme members to "pay back" the loans they get around a whole raft of tax evaision legislation.

It does sound like a scam though. Even if the loan was denominated in $Z the value in £ remains the same since thats what you were "paid" under the scheme.

Engage HMRC early with the information and then get a good lawyer.
