She will be based in Paris.

Initially we wanted to employ her (and still do) but were told that we could only do so by registering as an employer in France and paying the French Taxman what amounted to nearly 50% on top of the girl's salary. Non merci!

France is a b*gger for tax. I suggest you contact the people who aren't taking on any more - and ask them who they'd suggest.

I'm just about to go on holiday, but if you send me a PM a week on Saturday, I can ask some French contacts if they can help. Which part of France?

    French Accounts

    Hi

I have a subcontractor doing some work for me. She is an italilan lady who is moving to France to carry out some work for us. She can't get an E101 so looks like we will have to just register her in France.

Does anyone know of a good UK or French (english speaking) accountant who can set her up with french tax, social security system etc fairly quickly? We fouind one firm on the web who would do this and her annual tax for about €100 per month but they aren't taking new clients.

If there was a tax efficient way of paying her we would be interested in hearing about it. She is keeping her apartment, bank account, pension etc in italy (where she will return eventually) so her french expenses are purely in relation to the work we are asking her to do there. Can we justify paying some of the fee as expenses (and thus tax deductable)?

Can anyone help? We will obviously pay for the service.

    Thanks
    Conor
