Don't forget the 1% discount on the 1st year of trading as well.

My only experience is being told I was accepted on the FRS at 13% from the 2nd of April but despite several phone calls they are yet to put this in writing so I haven’t been able to take advantage yet.

    FRS and Trade Sector

    Hi
I was wondering for those registered on VAT FRS, does anyone classify themselves as "Business services that are not listed elsewhere" @ 11%?

I'm doing project management, mostly in mechanical/process engineering. The other closest category "Architect, civil and structural engineer or surveyor" @ 12.5% doesn't really fit very well, plus it will cost me more.

I tried phoning the VAT man, but they're as useful as a wooden fying pan.

Anyone had any experience in this area please?

Working...
