If you sign up for a monthly accounting package with a contractor accountant, the FreeAgent account is offered as part of the monthly accounting fee so you will have a saving overall. Accountants receive the software with a discount and most accountants will pass on their discount to their clients if you sign up for a monthly accounting service.

Many thanks! I've saved this link, may go with this solution.
It's amazing, HMRC are creating business opportunities for contractoruk members!

But Freeagent handles MTD for you so.....Originally posted by DeludedKitten View PostI do. They are. They don't.
But they have said not to worry because there won't be penalties in the first year of MTD.

I do. They are. They don't.Originally posted by Chart Accountancy View PostDo you refer to Dynamo Accounts, they are FreeAgent partners so unlikely that they cannot support MTD.

I don;t mind having to do it myself but don't tell me that it'll be fixed and then tell me that it's not been done and I have to do it myself!

It could be a really good move for you if you move to a Freeagent one as well. Might be a lower prices, better service, award winning portal plus MTD VAT. Ticks all boxes rather than staying with someone that isn't offering the full service you need?

You may wish to look at this software (it has been developed by a forum member) and it works well, we have tried the software: XLVAT | MTD VAT filer for Excel... and anything else that can export an Excel fileOriginally posted by richy View PostMany thanks for your reply. I had a look through that thread. There was this one, GitHub - kavina-systems/MTD: HMRC MTD VAT bridging / soft landing software but I couldn't get it to work when I tried. Looks like I may try 123 Sheets for the moment...
