Unpaid dues from an insolvent company

Dear All,

I've got 3 months contracting pay not given to me from an IT recruiting and consulting agency which is now in the insolvency stages of 'administration'.
The admins aren't going to pay any unsecured creditors.

What can or should I do to get my dues paid?

Any advice would help me much.
Am willing to pay for a reliable service to assist me successfully.

you have about zero chance from the administrators or waiting for 2p in the £ in a 18 months time)

Look out your ipse+ claim form and try and get up to £10K back (If you are a member)

other things you could Try incude

End Client might not have paid agent yet (90 day terms etc) so might still have the agency cash - a bit of jigglying might persuade them to pay you directly (but you need a very very onside client)

You've got pretty much zero hope of being paid anything from an agency that has no money. Three months is a lot and I'd ask why you got to the situation of still working while being owed so much money.

You can claim something from your IPSE+ Business Interruption insurance. That covers you to some level should the agency go bump. The T&C's say...

7.4.3.2.1 Business failure of your Client or Agency (up to £10000) 7.4.3.2.1.1 The maximum amount per claim under this policy shall be limited to:

Business Failure of the Agency per individual claim - £10,000.
Business Failure of any one Agency – all claims £100,000
Business failure of the Client per individual claim - £10,000
Business Failure of all Agencies or Clients in a full 12-month policy period - £500,000.
Failure of the Agency to honour contractual arrangements - £1,000

In order to clarify the above, the policy aggregate limit of £500,000 covers all claims made in any one period of insurance, but there is an aggregate limit per individual agency of £100,000 which operates as follows: if an agency was to fail with 50 IPSE Plus members facing financial loss, then the maximum payout for each individual member would be £2,000. If the full aggregate limit has been reached, no further claims would be accepted.
