Get him to use an umbrella?

What were you planning to do? Give him a brown envelope of tenners?

If he's independent to you surely it's his place to get insured?

    Insuring a Sub-Contractor

    Hi all,

I'm currently a registered limited company and am looking to sub-contract some work to a contact in the next few weeks. He isn't registered as a limited company or even as a sole trader. Does anyone know how I can insure him? It would only be for a period of 1 week. I've asked my own broker who said that he's not covered under my policy and they didn't have any suggestions on how I could go about it. A Google search proved fruitless.

I'd need to get cover for public liability, product liability, professional indemnity and some sort of personal accident cover.

    Thanks.
