It might just be that SJD's owners want to recoup a bit of the incredible price they paid for the business? Definitely shop around IMO.

    SJD Insolvency vs others

    Hi all,

I'm planning an MVL, and am with SJD for my accounting (have always been with them). They charge £1995+VAT+disbursements fee that includes a £300+VAT closure fee covering things like de-registration for VAT. I've obviously noticed on CUK that MVL Online offer a £995+VAT service, and even SJD's sister company NW offers a £1495+VAT service.

Is there really any difference between the services offered? It feels like paying SJD the closure fee and going with MVL Online is the best option. Just wanted to get the views of the more experienced folks out there!

    Many thanks in advance.
