But if you want to keep banging on at me about what you see in one thread without understanding any of the history, like you didn't when you mentioned NW and inTouch then feel free. It's not me that it makes look stupid.

You can comment on what it makes me look like but believe me we are well passed that one......
    Jesus Christ

    Blah blah, blah.

    I'm done for today.

    Have a nice evening.

Anyway, maybe his point is that it's better to have an honest accountant that he knows for years than an unknown one.
His 'honest' accountant appears to be screwing it up royally at present.

    Thank you for your help.
English is not my mother tongue but I suspected that something was very wrong.

Well no but it's a question that helps me give advice and make a point. But thanks for pointing that out. Really helpful. :
Gold star because it actually made sense though.

You should ask if his accountant has experience with contractors.

Well it's your business but your relationship with them appears to fallen apart rather spectactually so doesn't bode well for the future and even if you get it all back to being warm and cuddly they don't offer a service suited to you.

I am still of the opinion that whatever happens here you cut loose and start again. You pay professionals for an easy life, not all this grief. It's your business though......

Hello, :-) thanks for your responses.

My current accountants are not contractor specialists. They are the same local firm that is used by my Dad so thought it'd be good to use them as well.

I have emailed my accountants and requested them to put in writing what my prev accts missed out. And asked why they didn't chase, or ask me to chase, and why they failed to advise me of the extra costs up until now. I've not signed any contract so hoping I can argue my case. As they have said 6-months clear-up will cost flat rate monthly fee (and I'm paying over the odds for the service - £165pm!). I have lined up another accountant who will save me £65pm. And asked them to provide total service time to cleanup the 6months. As the bulk of the work for this period i.e. working out tax/ni/vat/salary was already calculated by previous accts. And shouldn't/can't ask for the full flat rate.
