    Just do a credit history check. Then if a telecoms firm comes up and the data is incorrect do a data subject access request to the company following the template letter the ICO give on their website. Make sure a day time phone number is on the request letter. (I always include a cheque for £10 so they can't delay further. )

    The telecoms provider should phone you up and will ask you what you want to know. You tell them the information is wrong. They should then correct your credit record.

    The person who deals with DSAR is different from the normal customer operators they have.
