    There won't be 2 bedroom plus etc flats/houses soon when the government forces housing associations/charities to sell off their housing stock.

    Anyway I will remain all the contractors I know who rent flats and can only get a two bedroom one to say they need the other room for work purposes i.e. storing equipment, office.

    In the news this week is T Healey v HMRC, where an actor working away from home was denied tax relief for renting a flat. This was because he admitted he wanted a spare room for guests and thus the tribunals supported HMRCs view that the expense was no longer "wholly and exclusively" for business.
