No-one seems to have a clue what is going on. Its a total mystery.

Though admin knows. Admin knows everything.

Was of time and effort. The government do everything HMRC tell them to do.

PS. according to my Accountants, late appeals are very rarely accepted, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

So it looks like we may be shafted.

    Huitson appeal

According to the Upper Tax Tribunal, Montpelier's appeal was quote "seriously late".

As a result, the entire appeal has been put in jeopardy. A Judge will decide whether it will be allowed.

Montpelier's appeal was so late, in fact, that HMRC had already started gearing up to issue Follower Notices to everyone.

Let's hope the appeal is allowed or the dreaded Follower Notices will be winging our way.

Yep, looks like they rejected the requests, which is often the case.

HINT: there is some information in the requests themselves which people, who've had discoveries, might find useful.

Some people who've taken the initiative and challenged discovery enquiries have already had those years closed off (with no further tax to pay).

Any idea what the odds are of them winning?
    Yes.

The odds of them winning are slim. But so was Leicester winning the premier league!

WG has shown himself to be at his best when in a corner! Go WG! Sock it to HMRC.....

Should probably include the fact that CDTs cannot be reinstated. After all HMRC time machine has limited one way functionality - to extort money.
