    There is no way I'd do that, if it is an error then it's both of ours. He asked what my salary was, but the childcare vouchers were in the spreadsheet I provided. He may have deduced the "salary" included the "salary sacrifice" of the vouchers and that he could ignore the entry in the spreadsheet. I assumed an entry in the spreadsheet was enough etc etc

    Looks like you're not getting the 4 years back then. You'd have to sue your accountant for negligence to get the equivalent sum for those 4 years back.     Thanks for the info, I'd already found the first page, but it says the correction must be made within 12 months, I'm 5 years down the track

    Accounts and CT error

    Looks like I/my accountant have been understating salary for the past 5 years in my accounts, with the result that the company has overpaid CT.

    (looks like Childcare vouchers have fallen down a crack and never been taken into account)

    My accountant is on holiday this week, but I'll be speaking to him next week to see what we can do, but in the meantime do any of you knowledgable bunch know what we can do?

    1) Go back and submit new accounts for the last 5 years?
    2) Claim back the overpaid CT (probably around £3k)
