I worked at a place where they did the "call you into a meeting room" thing. But they did it on a Friday afternoon. Everyone who was staying watched people walk past with boxes. Morale was gone after that. Half the remaining team quit within 3 months....

old thread but same story here lol. the new account manager every few months thing drove me crazy. ended up at WR Partners and just having one consistent person who knows my setup was the whole difference. should've moved sooner honestly....

I remember when that forum was active. Got some of my best IR35 advice there. Shame they let it die. Another piece of the old contracting world gone....

Depends on the industry. In some fields, it's all about who you know. In others, references are just a box to check. I've hired people whose references were glowing and they were terrible. Also hired people with lukewarm references who crushed it. It's a broken system....
