I think what I'm hoping is someone reputable comes along and says to me that yes, there's a good chance this can be done or no, there's very little chance this can be done. I'm just concerned that because it was an avoidance scheme this means they would use it as a means to come after me personally. It's not like a regular company tax bill. So that's where I'm a bit confused by it all....

Yeah I saw that they may try and make the director liable. I'm just not sure how I would fall into any of those though. I've been open and honest about moving back to self employment and did all my tax returns. This has been about 3 years now. I've been paying the HMRC back for over 6 years as well....

I've been struggling to pay back huge debts over the years but it's got to the point I can no longer pay them as they currently stand.
