Been looking at hen houses as well. Gonna get some chickens
There is an allotment behind where I live. Its used to have chickens in it. They were dirty, smelly bloody noisy creatures. Was a good day when the foxes found out where they were.
Then he got some more and fox proof fence. Seems our cat (12month juvenile) had been taking notes and turned up with on in the garden. To this day I still don't know how he got it over the fence - it was twice the size of him.

Well, snap again! I'm converting an old shed (not exactly a shed, I think it's called a Wendy house), and building what I hope to be a fox proof meshed area (sides and top) so as to provide free-range accomodation. The mesh will be buried 2 feet deep, plus an extra foot going inwards. Let's see how fox proof that is!
I'm starting with 6 chickens, but the hen house will be able to accommodate 24. By the way, I know absolutely nothing about raising chickens
