A mate was convinced that I needed to put the opening offer in at £145k.

I might as well ask if I can go balls deep in their daughter at the same time.....

Don't even know if they had a daughter.

Anyway...I've started to like this people carrier hire car I have. It's great. Picked someone up last night I was taking out for a meal. She's only 22 still a student so lives with the rents and can't drive. Now me being a trucker that disagrees with me on a fundamental level...but anyway....

Had a five minute chat with her dad as I was waiting her her to sort her life out and get ready. He noticed the car (its a "nice" 57 reg galaxy - they didn't know its a hire)... "Oh, nice car...". Thanks, it'll come in handy when me and Nicola have kids.

I have since decided that sarcasm when a father is watching his princess getting taken out is not a good idea. Still it made me laugh...at least her mum saw the funny side.

Nah, I would say I am letting them sweat it out but still waiting for the garage to phone about the car.

I think they fixed it yesterday, however they were only going to replace the oil seal and the cambelt (which didn't break, don't know why it needs changing) purely to start the engine to see if anything else is damaged.

As soon as I work out the damage I'll make the call. Don't want to fork out £5k for a new engine ontop of the house etc

                    Ooooo...they phoned.

New cambelt, camshaft oil seal and camshaft pulley. Just waiting for a price

What we say on prices? £500-600 is my guess.
