You do realise that I do most of this stuff to stop my brain seizing up with boredom?
I managed to design & manufacture 3 pcbs last week & there are mistakes on all of them... much to my chagrin.
This takes me back. What are the top PCB CAD systems these days?
In my day I remember Daisy, Racal Redac, Computavision (crap), Cadnetics, Calma (with that voice interface gimmick), and a GEC home-brew system which was pretty good.
I'm currently debating whether it doesn't work because I've only got a 74ls373 in the board and it specs a 74hc373... the output of the ls maxes at about 3V, whereas the hc will do 5V.
Though considering it programs about 95% of the memory correctly, it's a bit weird.
I shall buy an hc from Maplin & see if it makes a difference.
Stupid question, but you are setting OE the right way round aren't you?
