Have to lay two of my civil engineering staff off tomorrow

Thay have been working for me for nearly a year, but I have a break in contracts for a few weeks now, and I don't want to pay wages for men staying at home due to no work.

Plasterboards and plaster, scrim, PVA and screws.
Couple of the boys are coming up to help me do the ceilings.

Wife has stripped the wallpaper in the hall/stairs/landing. will have to re-plaster the lot on Monday or Tuesday.
