I've got this geiger counter I built from a kit.

It gives the occasional click from cosmic rays & stuff.

I didn't think it worked properly.

Until my mum had radioiodine... then I knew it worked coz I could detect her from the next room...

I heard a similar story from a colleague about his poorly son. It was one of the radiologist's party tricks with the kids: "Let's see if you glow in the dark ... 'cos you should!"

I have just helped out the gf with her diet. I found her secret stash of brazil nuts and ate them all...

Now I will hide her housekeeping and cancel her credit card so she can't buy more!
