Visited a friend last night, and just before leaving he asked if I could have a quick look at his desktop as he thinks he might have a virus.

It turned out that he had not virus protection, so I downloaded AVG and started a scan

By the time I left AVG had detected over 800 threats....

I sent him a text later in the evening and asked how it was going, and the reply was that there were over 10k threats on the PC

hopefully once this is cleaned up the PC will run a touch quicker
