Another one just passing through I see

I used to spend about £30 plus on the big mixed cheese boards, just for a bit of variety, but now they have started palming us off with weird stuff with apricots and mixed nuts and weard carp like that. so it's Stilton, blue brie and danish blue only this christmas

Yuck. Why do they do that thing with the apricots?

Yep

Had a dilemma at the weekend.

Wanted to get some cheese in for Xmas (have to do it now so it's at it's best for xmas. The supermarkets sell it so under ripe)

The Stilton is all Cropwell Bishop - which I'm not a fan of (growing up just outside Melton - I have a taste for Stilton)

I looked at the Rocky - (but I normally do a booze cruise just before xmas so stock up on that and Brie then) - the supermarket stuff isn't the same

Some of the mature French blue soft cheeses are really nice. never remember the name of them though
