Text from the opticians advising that my new gigs are available for collection.

They were, and it was painless too. The lady displayed no desire to upsell me any peripheral shyte at all, a most unexpected scenario.

The world of Bradford in 20:20 vision came as something of a shock to the system though. Might have to go for a lie down.

Had to pop out at lunch. A quick trip to the post office and also to collect a new pair of jeans.

A couple of the lightning cables in the house have started to fail. So I looked at tesco last night to see if they had an offer on them. I wasnt going to pay £15 a cable. So popped onto Amazon and got 3 for £15.

Eldest has 2 cables at uni.
Mrs 5* has failed, so she charges with mine.
Youngest has had one break.

I keep one in the office just incase I need to transfer stuff, plus I can just chuck it in my bag if I go away.

I might need a spare on for the car.
