New batch of homemade bacon smoked - slightly more salty than before but blinding with our homemade butter in pita bread! Finding the smoker "cooks" the bacon a bit so need to be more careful with the heat. Perhaps a Green Alien Egg norrahe?

Oh and DaveB, have found a new technique of keeping the "brinewater" in the bag rather than hard crust and drain - makes it less dry.

Need to make a new batch of bacon to test out kermits ability to smoke.

Will probably cold smoke and use a smoking box at the bottom of the bbq.

You might want to invest in a vac packer, that way the bacon only takes two days to cure ( you basically rub the salt cure over it and vac pack it) and then air dry it for a few days in the fridge and it doesn't end up dry.
The vac packer is also great for marinades.

Managed to make a real doctor's appointment today. Hoping they'll be able to give me something.

The bit hanging in the back of my throat has turned purple! I always thought that was the epiglottis, but it seems it's not, it's actually the uvula. If google imaging "uvula looks purple" don't accept the autocorrect suggestion of "vulva looks purple"
