There are some very, very bad project managers out there, but they get away with it somehow.Originally posted by Gonzo View PostNo, Asset Management. The image projected to the rest of the country is that the people working there are the creme de la creme. Its not the case.
But he is a fairly new hire so that puts his manager in a difficult spot. Either they stick with him and live with it, or they admit a bad decision.Comment

Is that good or bad?Originally posted by DS23 View Postaustria. east enough for me. i'm heading there the week after next to try and finish it all off.
Austria might have some good Christmas shopping markets at that time, and maybe some skiing opportunities?Comment

You've got it.Originally posted by Gonzo View PostActually, I don't feel that sorry for the PM, he is an idiot
In which case he is a spineless arselicker, and not a project manager. Real project managers say "No".Originally posted by Gonzo View Postwho just does what he is told without question.
I bet the poor sod has never had any training.
'S funny how giving someone the job title "Project Manager" makes no difference to their ability to run projects. It's people like that that give professional PMs a bad name.
And their employers are the real problem.
Tell you what: do you want the job title of "Brain Surgeon" or "Rocket Scientist". You don't need experience or training, you'll be fine.

And the problem is?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostPlan says due end of June, but there's no contingency.
If it's in by September, I'll be astounded.
Contract runs out in May, so there could well be an extension looming...
