When they said it was so
He replied "Yes, I know
But I always make a rule of getting as many words into the last line as I possible can"
But I prefer:
There once was a man from Japan
Whose poetry never would scan.
When asked why this was
He said "It's because
I'm a freelance copyeditor paid by the word so it is in my interests to flesh work out when there is no specified word limit and since the client trusts me now then as per usual when in this position at this point in a contract I do what I usually do which is to try to get as many words into the last line as I ever so possibly can sign here thank you have an invoice."
